Which EvoUniq blanket series should be chosen for which job?
EvoUniq series are differentiated according to parameters such as type of work (conventional/UV), aggressiveness of washing chemicals, speed, and spot coverage target.
“General purpose” series are preferred for standard conventional applications and balanced performance; “UV compatible” series for productions where UV and chemical resistance is critical; “coat/strip coat” types for processes requiring lacquer/coating transfer or easy surface removal; and “under blanket” for substrate thickness stability and packing adjustment.
What are the three most technically critical checks when selecting a blanket?
(1) Thickness/packing: The total of the blanket + pressboard must match the machine’s target packing value; this directly affects point gain and stability.
2) Application compatibility: Conventional or UV, and are the washing solvents used suitable for the blanket surface (to manage the risk of swelling/hardening)?
(3) Surface behavior: Contact balance, vibration/impact resistance and transfer stability are crucial for print quality; especially at high speeds and for precise tones.
